OWNR! is hiring for a Guest Booker / Talent Producer and an Emerging Artist Associate Producer / Coordinator for the inaugural Artist Ownership Summit + Live Series Taping at MICA in Baltimore.
ONE DAY. FIVE EPISODES. CAMERAS ROLLING.
WHAT WE’RE BUILDING
OWNR! is a new national media series helping emerging artists understand how to get hired, get paid, and build sustainable creative careers and income.
Established artists, buyers and industry insiders reveal where opportunities are actually coming from, who controls access, what gets funded and bought, how artists get considered, and how to build more ownership into the opportunities they pursue. Emerging artists then present or perform their work and get real-time feedback in front of a live audience.
Think NPR’s Tiny Desk meets MasterClass, focused on the business of being an artist.
OWNR! gives viewers access to people they usually don’t have access to.
The Artists Who Are Doing It
How they got booked, what changed their careers, and what they wish they knew sooner.
The People With the Budgets
What they’re buying, what they pay for, and what makes an artist get picked.
The Insiders Who Know How It Works
Where opportunities really come from, who makes the decisions, and how artists get considered.
We will bring artists, industry leaders, and a live audience together to film five original episodes during the inaugural Artist Ownership Summit.
SPRING 2027 | New Date Coming Soon
From 11a-7pm is both a live summit (like a mini-conference) and a filmed production day.
The day will be organized into taping blocks, with each session built around an individual OWNR! episode. Throughout the day, we will film five episodes with special guests and emerging artists in front of a live audience.
The final block will lead into an evening VIP experience and the last tapings of the day.
Mario is a 2x Emmy Award-winning host, NBC TODAY Show technology expert, columnist for Entrepreneur Magazine, and entrepreneur who produces original video content and builds platforms that help artists market, monetize, grow, and own what they create. He independently created and hosted the Never Settle Show, filmed at Nasdaq Studios in Times Square, which won an Emmy Award.
Mario likes big impact to happen for others. He brings sharp questions, collaboration, big ideas and good energy to the work. Associate Producers will work directly with Mario on episode concepts, guests, research and interview preparation, helping turn five ambitious ideas into a polished show.
Work directly with Mario Armstrong, Host and EP, to help secure four special guests for five episodes filming at MICA in Baltimore, then help produce those guests once they are booked.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and positions may be filled before the deadline.
